The Kerr Acoustic K400 speaker system measures 341 x 164 x 310 mm and weighs 7.5 kg. The speaker body is made of Baltic birch plywood with a thickness of 24 mm, 18 mm and 12 mm with internal reinforcement, similar to that used in the K300 model. The design uses a slightly smaller 150mm mid-low-frequency ScanSpeak speaker and a 45mm ribbon tweeter. The midrange/woofer driver is powered by a transmission line, which allows for an operating frequency range from 39 Hz to 45 kHz, which, according to the developers, provides exceptionally well-controlled and deep bass combined with a clean and undistorted midrange. The sensitivity of the novelty is 88 dB, the nominal resistance is 6 ohms.
