Bookshelf Speakers — Acoustic Energy AE1 40th Anniversary

A completely new tweeter has been developed for the Acoustic Energy AE1 40th Anniversary Edition to match the characteristics of the original, which has long been discontinued. With an enlarged 29mm sound coil, it works with a slightly larger aluminum dome, which reduces distortion due to a larger radiating surface compared to typical 25mm domes. The dome has a shallow profile depth for extended bandwidth and a large rear chamber for resonance suppression and reverse energy absorption. In addition, the tweeter, as in the original, is cooled and damped with a ferrofluid for better power, dynamics and reduced thermal compression.
