SIA 025 Mk.II is made symmetrically in the form of a dual mono idea centered on a massive mains transformer. The impression created behind the cover is reminiscent of the huge engine compartment of a 12-cylinder Jaguar from the 1980s: filled to the brim. The circuit is designed in a now rare form of Class A amplification, which is also applicable for comparison with 12-cylinder engines. Although the output power is minimal (25 watts at 8 ohms or 50 watts at 4 ohms), there is no cross-distortion inherent in efficient amplifier circuits.
The overall design of the new RI-101 is the same as that of the original RI-100 with identical power and output stages. But that's where the similarities end.
