Reed

Reed SF is an optical cartridge that differs from traditional magnetic pickups in that it lacks coils and magnets. Although the head has a needle that reads information from the track of a vinyl record, its movements are tracked by a laser-based optical system, which minimizes mechanical interference and pressure on the record.
