Сабвуферы — Cabasse SANTORIN 25

The Santorin 25 is an active subwoofer from Cabasse, built with a distinctive vertical 360-degree down-firing driver. Cabasse is a long-established French leader in the hi-fi acoustics market, and the Santorin 25 is specifically designed to partner with the brand's satellite, bookshelf and floorstanding speaker ranges, including the Eole 4 and iO3 systems, in home cinema installations up to 50 m2.

Key specs that matter

The single 25cm (10-inch) 25S20 driver uses a cellulose fibre composite cone, chosen specifically for clean reproduction at both low and very high sound pressure levels without distortion, while remaining light and well-damped enough for quick, generous bass response. Frequency response is 30-160Hz, with a maximum sound pressure of 111dB RMS. The low-pass crossover frequency is adjustable between 40-180Hz. Nominal amplifier power is 200W from the TSA200D Class D amplifier, with 400W peak capability. A single unbalanced RCA line input is provided. At 42 x 36 x 38cm and 17kg, the cabinet is finished in matt black or matt white, distinguished by two brushed aluminium rings encircling the enclosure. The vertical 360-degree down-firing driver arrangement, replacing the traditional horizontal emission most subwoofers use, filters noise and dampens internal standing-wave effects, making subwoofer-to-wall positioning considerably less critical than with a conventional design.

Sound and use context

Expect round, punchy bass full of nuance and depth, with thrilling dynamic effects across both music and home cinema material - Cabasse specifically engineered the 360-degree emission to allow discreet placement near walls and furniture without any acoustic compromise, a genuine practical advantage over subwoofers requiring careful distance from boundaries to sound their best.

Pairing

The single RCA line input works with any preamplifier, integrated amplifier or AV receiver offering a subwoofer output, and the compact 42 x 36 x 38cm footprint integrates easily alongside Cabasse's own satellite and bookshelf speaker systems without dominating a room.

Alternatives

Cabasse's broader subwoofer range, including the newer Santorin 25 M3 with updated DSP processing and refined controls, offers an alternative for buyers wanting the latest generation of this same core down-firing design philosophy, worth comparing directly with a dealer on specific feature differences.
