The Overture O306F is a floorstanding model in the Overture range from AudioSolutions, announced in April 2023 as an addition to the third-generation MK3 series. According to the company's CEO, it was created for buyers who wanted a large-scale speaker without spending more, filling the space between the smaller O305F and the considerably costlier Figaro L. The base price was set at EUR 5,500 to 6,100 per pair depending on region, wood finishes add 10 percent, and the limited colours carried a 20 percent surcharge.
Key specs that matter
This three-way tower carries four drive units. A custom 2.5 cm silk dome tweeter sits beneath a 15.2 cm midrange with an ER paper cone, and two 23 cm ER paper cone woofers handle the bass. The crossover points are 500 Hz and 3,000 Hz. Quoted in-room response spans 29 Hz to 26,000 Hz, sensitivity is 91.5 dB at 2.83 V and one metre, and the nominal impedance is 4 ohms. The O306F is rated at 250 W RMS nominal power with a maximum unclipped figure of 500 W. Dimensions are 1,150 mm in height, 301 mm in width and 507 mm in depth, and the feet spread the base to 525 mm. Each speaker weighs 70 kg, and the shipping weight is 75 kg.
Engineering and use context
The O306F shares its cabinet structure and technologies with the smaller Overture models. Its Sectional-Box-in-a-Box enclosure, derived from the Virtuoso series, places a lightweight inner box within a heavy outer one and fills the space between them with viscous polyurethane, a combination the brand describes as both stiff and well damped. The tweeter is mounted in a Mini Horn flare that damps the dome where it would otherwise flex too much, with damping that scales with playback level. A contoured High-Flow reflex port on the rear panel is shaped to prevent air turbulence. The phase-linear crossover uses high-grade coreless copper coils on an extra-thick PCB. Spikes with M6 threading pierce carpet, and supplied caps protect hardwood floors, while the oversized terminals, finished in frosted satin silver, accept heavy cable connectors. Standard colours are black or white gloss, Zebrano, Mahogany and Wenge are the wood options, and a limited collection offered Blanco, White Mahogany, Black Mahogany and Matured Oak in runs of 40 pairs each.
Pairing
Given its low nominal impedance and high continuous power rating, the O306F suits amplifiers specified for output into low impedances. Owners moving up from the O305F keep the same crossover points and driver family, so the step mainly brings bigger woofers and a larger enclosure.
Alternatives
The Overture O305F is the smaller tower below it, with 18.3 cm woofers and a 39 kg cabinet rated for 160 W RMS.
