The Omada N°4 is a three-way floorstander with bass-reflex loading from Focal and the latest model added to the Omada series, which also includes the smaller Omada N°3 floorstander, the Omada N°1 bookshelf speaker and the Omada Center. The series arrived in November 2025 with little announcement. US launch prices were USD 2,299 per speaker for the N°4, USD 1,398 per pair for the N°1 and USD 699 for the Center.
Key specs that matter
Two 21 cm Slatefiber woofers cover the low end, a 16.5 cm Slatefiber cone handles the midrange while the top octaves go to a 25 mm Al/Mg TAM tweeter shaped as an inverted M dome. The crossover hands over at 280 Hz and 2,800 Hz. Focal rates the response at 40 Hz to 30 kHz within 3 dB, with the -6 dB point at 34 Hz. Sensitivity is 92 dB at 2.83 V and 1 m, nominal impedance is 8 ohm and the minimum falls to 2.6 ohm. The recommended amplifier power is 40 to 350 W. The cabinet stands 112.6 cm tall, 30.4 cm wide and 43 cm deep, and each speaker weighs 31.5 kg with grille. Packed, it ships in a 46 x 60 x 125 cm carton at 38.5 kg. Focal specifies a room of at least 25 m2.
Engineering and use context
Slatefiber is a cone material that binds reused carbon fibres with thermoplastic, and Focal produces these drivers, as well as the TAM tweeter, in France. A urethane waveguide around the tweeter is intended to improve horizontal directivity. The bass loading follows the multi-port Powerflow principle, using openings on the front baffle as well as the back panel, which Focal says avoids dynamic compression. The ultra-rigid MDF cabinet is built to control resonance, and it is tilted back for time alignment of the drivers. An aluminium base adds ground stability, and supplied spikes couple the speaker to the floor. The front panel has a leather-effect covering, and a magnetic grille comes with it.
Pairing
Modest amplifiers can drive the efficient Omada N°4, but the deep impedance dip favours a design that copes with low loads and supplies current freely. The Omada Center can be added to build a home cinema front stage from the same range.
Alternatives
The Omada N°3 is the lower-priced floorstander in the Omada family, built around three Slatefiber woofers, with a minimum impedance of 2.9 ohm and crossover points at 280 Hz and 3,100 Hz, priced at USD 1,899 per speaker.
