The Børresen T3 Silver Supreme Edition is the higher-grade variant of the T3 floorstanding loudspeaker from Børresen Acoustics in Denmark, a brand of Audio Group Denmark. The T-series arrived in March 2025 as the successor to the 0-series and carries ideas from the company's M-series into a less costly range. At launch the T3 SSE was priced at EUR 100,000 per pair, against EUR 65,000 for the standard T3.

Frequency range is 30 Hz to 50 kHz and impedance is 6 ohm, and the maker asks for an amplifier with more than 50 W. The enclosure stands 120.4 cm tall, 28.2 cm wide and 51.2 cm deep. Drivers are one RP94 ribbon planar tweeter, one 5 inch IronFree5 Titanium SSE unit covering bass and midrange and two more 5 inch IronFree5 woofers. Available finishes are high-gloss black lacquer and a walnut wood veneer.

Engineering and use context

What separates the SSE from the standard model is inside the drivers and the cabinet fittings. The copper pole rings are replaced by handcrafted rings of pure silver that are cryogenically treated for lower inductance, the driver baskets are made of titanium, and higher-grade Darkz T2 resonance control devices are fitted. Those titanium baskets were shaped with computer-optimised finite element design. The iron-free motor itself places neodymium rings in a mirrored layout rather than around an iron core. Cones combine an aramid honeycomb core with two carbon fibre skins in a three-layer build, and the resin holding them is enriched with graphene and boron whiskers. The ribbon tweeter takes over at roughly 2.5 kHz, rates 94 dB efficiency and moves a mass of just 0.01 grams. A serial crossover links the drivers so they share one current path, which the company describes as phase-locking, and it is built with military-spec capacitors and foil-wound coils. Thick hardwood braces and carbon fibre reinforcements stiffen the cabinet, while vents at the rear release the pressure that builds behind the drivers. Ansuz Gold Signature cable is used internally, with Tesla coil technology and third-generation analog dither. Audio Group Denmark gives a 5-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

Pairing

The T3 SSE can be bi-amped either with passive speaker-level splitting or through an active crossover, putting the woofers on one amplifier and the midrange and ribbon on a second one. The moderate impedance and the modest power recommendation suit most quality solid-state amplification, and Audio Group Denmark offers matching electronics under its Aavik name.
