The brand is a German loudspeaker maker citing over 70 years of experience in building speakers. This model is a passive two-way design with bass reflex loading, sized for a shelf, sideboard or stand, measuring less than 18 cm across and a little over 29 cm tall, and HECO offers it with either black or white cabinets. Its styling echoes the rest of the Victa Elite family, from the ringed woofer trim to the curved cabinet sides.

Engineering and use context

The cabinet side walls are rounded and built in multiple layers, which avoids the large flat parallel surfaces found in a plain rectangular box and gives the speaker its softer outline when seen from above. Rubber spikes come in the box to decouple the speaker from the furniture it stands on. At the back, an all-metal terminal plate carries gold-plated screw posts in two pairs, so separate cables or separate amplifier channels can feed the two drivers after the bridges come off. For single-cable use the bridges simply stay in place and the amplifier connects to either pair of posts.

Because the load can dip toward 4 ohm, pick an integrated amplifier or AV receiver rated to drive 4 ohm speakers. The moderate sensitivity asks for no unusual power, and an amplifier within the continuous rating keeps inside what HECO specifies for the drivers in a 20 m2 room. Owners with two stereo power amplifiers can use the doubled terminals to give woofer and tweeter their own channels.
