The Concert Legacy 8 is the only standmount in the Concert Legacy range that Jamo unveiled for High End Vienna 2026, with shipping set for August 2026. The Danish brand, founded in the late 1960s, first sold a Concert series in the mid-1990s and changed owners in 2024, and the new range is described as a look at how the original Concert 8 and Concert 11 would have evolved over three decades. The European price is EUR 3,299 per pair, and production takes place in Denmark. A second, separate line called Concert Element was presented at the same time and was shaped with the Copenhagen agency HarritSorensen.

Key specs that matter

The enclosure is a passive vented design with two ways. Both drive units come from Scandinavian makers. A 165 mm SEAS midwoofer with an aluminium and magnesium cone works below the 3 kHz crossover point, and a 25 mm Scan-Speak tweeter handles the treble. Jamo lists a response of 34 Hz to 21 kHz within 3 dB, with the curve reaching 28 Hz at the 6 dB point. Sensitivity is rated at 87 dB for 2.83 V at 1 m into a nominal 4 ohm load. Each cabinet measures 365 mm high, 252 mm wide and 370 mm deep and weighs 12 kg.

Engineering and use context

Rather than exiting at the front or back, the reflex port fires downward through the underside, and the maker states this frees placement from dependence on the rear wall. The box sits on an aluminium plinth that tilts forward by four degrees, creating the gap the down-firing bass loading needs. Real oak veneer covers the enclosure, the 40 mm thick front baffle is finished in matte black, and the trim is bead-blasted aluminium. Jamo offers three finishes named Onyx, Heritage and Northern Frost. The rear carries bi-wiring terminals, allowing separate cable runs to the two frequency sections. The same tweeter and midrange combination is shared by all three Legacy models, while the two floorstanders add a bottom section of Scan-Speak woofers.

Pairing

Jamo recommends amplification of between 40 W and 200 W per channel. The partnering amplifier should be one whose maker specifies stable output into a load that low. Within the same range Jamo also builds the Concert Element SW10 subwoofer with a 250 mm long-throw driver and a 150 W class D amplifier in a sealed enclosure. The relaunch of both Concert ranges is credited to Cinemaster CEO Xiaodong Yang and Thomas Li of Rayleigh Lab.

Alternatives

Within the Jamo range the C113 Bookshelf Speaker from the Concert Series is another two-way standmount option.
