The Classic 100 is a three-way speaker for stand use from the Classic family of Spendor Audio Systems, and the company traces its roots back to the Spendor BC3 of the 1970s. The Classic range was revised in 2022, when Spendor fitted a new generation of drive units, refined crossover networks, new elastomer panel damping and magnetic grilles across the models. Within the series the Classic 100 is a stand mount placed below the floorstanding Classic 200, and it is built in Britain.

Handing the band to the dedicated midrange at the lower crossover point frees the large woofer from vocal frequencies, while the two ports extend its reach into the low bass. The cabinet uses Spendor Dynamic Damping panels, a feature shared by all Classic models, and every pair leaves the factory matched against a broadcast reference. The three sets of terminals allow the bass, midrange and treble sections to be fed separately for tri-wiring or multi-amplifier setups. The box ships with a magnetic grille, and veneer choices are walnut and cherry. Spendor makes a dedicated Classic 100 Stand of precision machined solid alloy, 400 mm tall excluding spikes and weighing 12 kg, sold separately.

Spendor recommends 25 to 250 watts, and the high sensitivity means modest power levels are enough in many rooms. The maker states the Classic 100 is at home with either tube or solid-state electronics, though its impedance minimum favours an amplifier that remains stable into lower loads. The rear terminals suit owners who want to drive the woofer from a separate power amplifier.
