The NAD M10 V3 is a Masters series streaming amplifier that joins a BluOS network player, a DAC and a HybridDigital power stage in one compact aluminium chassis with Gorilla Glass panels and a high-resolution touchscreen. NAD prices it at USD 3,199. It can be operated from the app, the touchscreen or the remote.
Key specs that matter
Rated output is 100 W per channel from 20 Hz to 20 kHz into both 8 and 4 ohm, with THD under 0.03 percent anywhere from 250 mW to full power at either impedance. Clipping power exceeds 130 W into 8 ohm and 230 W into 4 ohm at 1 kHz, while IHF dynamic power is 160 W into 8 ohm and 300 W into 4 ohm. Frequency response is plus or minus 0.6 dB from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, and the S/N figure is above 85.1 dB A-weighted, referenced to 1 W. The damping factor exceeds 190 referenced to 8 ohm between 20 Hz and 6.5 kHz, and channel separation is above 83 dB at 1 kHz and 70.5 dB at 10 kHz. Line input sensitivity is 456 mV for full output. Treble and bass controls offer plus or minus 6 dB at 20 kHz and 60 Hz. The chassis measures 215 x 100 x 260 mm and NAD lists a shipping weight of 5 kg.
Engineering and use context
NAD bases the HybridDigital power stage on nCore Class D modules, and the converter is an ESS Sabre chip rated for 32 bit and 768 kHz, with playback of streams up to 24 bit and 192 kHz. Networking runs over Gigabit Ethernet or Wi-Fi 5, and the BluOS platform can group up to 63 zones in a multi-room system. Supported formats include OPUS, ALAC, MP3, AAC, OGG, WMA and WMA-L, with MQA, FLAC, WAV and AIFF listed as hi-res formats and converted DSD playback also supported. Wired connections cover HDMI eARC, coaxial and optical digital inputs, USB-A, a stereo analogue input and a dedicated MM phono input, while Bluetooth with aptX HD handles wireless sources. A BC1 infrared remote is supplied, and standby consumption is 0.5 W.
Pairing
Two independent sub outputs with an adjustable crossover allow a pair of powered bass units to join the main speakers. Vinyl sources with an MM pickup connect without extra hardware, and eARC carries TV sound into the amplifier. With passive speakers connected, the one chassis covers the streamer, DAC, preamplifier and power amplifier roles.
Alternatives
The NAD M33 is a larger Masters streaming integrated amplifier using HybridDigital Purifi Eigentakt amplification, rated at 200 W per channel into 8 and 4 ohm with more than 380 W available into 4 ohm.
