The C 3030S is the streaming version of NAD's retro-styled C 3030 integrated amplifier, adding the BluOS multi-room platform to a black faceplate with illuminated VU meters that echoes the original NAD 3030. Its launch price was set at USD 1,199 and with availability from spring 2026.
Key specs that matter
The amplifier delivers 50 W per channel into 8 ohms from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Clipping power is above 55 W into 8 ohms and above 70 W into 4 ohms at 1 kHz and 0.1% THD, and IHF dynamic power reaches 120 W, 250 W and 390 W into 8, 4 and 2 ohms. Peak output current exceeds 16 A into 1 ohm for 1 ms. THD is below 0.03% between 250 mW and full power into 8 or 4 ohms, with noise over 90 dB down A-weighted. Line sensitivity is 750 mV for 50 W, line input impedance is 28 kOhm plus 360 pF, and the damping factor is above 52. Frequency response holds within 0.3 dB from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The chassis is 356 x 129 x 329 mm and weighs 5.8 kg, and standby power stays under 0.5 W.
Engineering and use context
BluOS handles high resolution playback of FLAC, MQA, WAV and AIFF up to 24 bit and 192 kHz, plus MP3, AAC, WMA, OGG, ALAC and OPUS files. The platform gives access to more than 20 music services including Spotify, Tidal and Qobuz, supports Apple AirPlay and works with Roon, and native MQA decoding is included. Network connection is via Wi-Fi 5 or a Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port, and control runs through the BluOS Controller app, with skills and support for Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri. Physical inputs are HDMI eARC, RCA line level, optical digital and a moving magnet phono stage, with aptX HD Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless playback. Outputs include an RCA pre-out with an analogue bypass option, an RCA subwoofer output with bass management and an 80 Hz high-pass filter, and a 3.5 mm headphone socket on the front panel. A remote control is supplied.
Pairing
As a BluOS device, the C 3030S can join other BluOS players in a multi-room system controlled from one app. A television connects over HDMI eARC, while the phono stage accepts a moving magnet cartridge turntable. Small bookshelf speakers combined with a subwoofer on the bass-managed output make a compact complete system around this unit.
Alternatives
The NAD C 3030 uses the same retro chassis and amplifier with HDMI eARC and aptX HD Bluetooth, but omits the BluOS streaming platform.
