Kyron Audio Pythos – High End network transport with separate processor cores for streaming

04.12.2024 09:00 | ~2 minutes read

Kyron Audio has introduced the Kyron Audio Pythos network transport. Every element of the new product – music storage, navigation and streaming systems – has been optimized for low jitter and low noise.

Kyron Audio Pythos – High End network transport with separate processor cores for streaming

The Pythos network music transport has been designed to deliver flawless playback of music – from standard CD resolution to high-resolution PCM and DSD. The built-in CD drive allows you to copy your music library on physical media to online storage and have almost instant access to any track. Or you can get high-resolution content from subscription-based streaming services. New Kyron Audio Pythos has only a tablet, smartphone or external computer-based control – this scheme without information screen or video subsystem minimize interference and crosstalk.

The music playback engine used in Kyron Audio Pythos is allocated separate processor cores so that other processes do not interfere with its work. This ensures a stable, bit-perfect audio stream regardless of whether you are viewing or updating playlists or ripping a CD. The Kyron Audio Pythos transport uses a USB interface to connect an external DAC.

Kyron Audio Pythos – High End network transport with separate processor cores for streaming

Kyron Audio Pythos uses ECC RAM, which is usually intended for mission-critical systems. ECC memory can detect and correct single-bit errors that could otherwise distort the audio stream. These errors are minor, will not be detected in most measurements, and are often ignored by the processor. And finally, Dual-Block Network Transport scheme guaranties minimization of noise from power supply.
