Silent Pound has revealed details of its new flagship Parallax loudspeaker system, which will make its official debut at Audio Video Show 2026 in Warsaw from October 23 to 25. The model’s name refers to the parallax effect – the apparent change in an object’s position when viewed from a different perspective. The manufacturer uses this idea as a metaphor for a new approach to experiencing familiar music. Parallax is a passive 3.5-way loudspeaker that further develops the controlled-directivity concept previously used in Silent Pound’s Challenger and Bloom models.

Particular attention has been paid to the low-frequency section. Each speaker features four 15-inch bass drivers operating in a folded-dipole configuration. This architecture is designed to combine deep bass response with controlled dispersion and substantial linear excursion for reproducing dynamic peaks. The specified frequency response extends from 24 Hz to 20 kHz within ±3 dB, while sensitivity is rated at 91 dB with 1 watt of input power. Directivity control also extends into the low-frequency range, which, according to Silent Pound, should reduce the influence of side-wall reflections and make the overall sound less dependent on the acoustics of a particular room.

The midrange and high-frequency section consists of an array of four midrange drivers surrounding a central horn-loaded compression tweeter. This arrangement creates a virtual coaxial source and also contributes to the company’s proprietary directivity-control technology, for which Silent Pound has filed a patent application. Parallax supports both conventional single-amplifier operation and bi-amping. In bi-amp mode, the sensitivity of the mid/high-frequency section increases to 97 dB, while crossover filtering remains fully passive in both configurations. The crossover components are integrated into the visible exterior design and positioned behind a tempered-glass panel.

The Silent Pound Parallax enclosure combines an oak front panel with a structural aluminium frame, while the design also incorporates professional-grade drivers, high-quality passive crossover components and Stack Audio AUVA 70 isolation feet. Silent Pound has not yet announced the recommended retail price. Before the official unveiling, unconfirmed reports circulated online suggesting that the price could exceed US$100,000 per pair. Following the launch of Parallax, Silent Pound’s current loudspeaker range will consist of three models: Bloom, Challenger II and the new flagship Parallax.
