JBL has introduced the L150 Classic, a three-way floorstanding loudspeaker that takes its place as the new flagship of the Classic series. The new model combines the distinctive appearance of JBL's legendary loudspeakers from the 1970s with modern audio technologies. The L150 Classic made its public debut at Audio Video Show 2026, held in Warsaw from October 23 to 25. The speaker is designed for music enthusiasts who appreciate powerful, dynamic sound and classic audio equipment aesthetics.

The JBL L150 Classic features a 15-inch (380 mm) Pure Pulp Differential Drive woofer with a cast frame. Midrange frequencies are handled by a 6.5-inch (165 mm) Pure Pulp driver with a polymer-coated cone, while a 28 mm titanium dome tweeter, complemented by a waveguide and acoustic lens, reproduces high frequencies. The crossover frequencies are set at 310 Hz and 1.8 kHz. The enclosure features a sloped front baffle and a bass-reflex design with two front-firing ports. The specified frequency response extends from 33 Hz to 22.5 kHz, with the lower limit reaching 30.5 Hz when the bass level is increased by 2 dB.

The JBL L150 Classic has a sensitivity of 88 dB (2.83 V/1 m) and a nominal impedance of 4 ohms. JBL recommends pairing the speakers with amplifiers rated between 25 and 250 watts RMS. Two pairs of gold-plated binding posts support bi-wiring and bi-amping configurations, while front-panel high- and low-frequency controls allow listeners to fine-tune the sound to suit their room acoustics. The cabinets are finished in natural walnut veneer and feature removable black Quadrex grilles with magnetic attachments. Each speaker measures 935 × 470 × 540 mm and weighs 52 kg.
