Merason has introduced the Mountain - a new top-tier DAC. The component supports music steams up to PCM 24-bit/192 kHz and DSD up to DSD128. The Merason Mountain is designed to complement the company's existing product lineup, pairing seamlessly with the Mountain Pre preamplifier and Mountain Power amplifier (and, of course, other equipment).

Connectivity options include balanced XLR and RCA outputs (with an output voltage of 3.4 V for XLR and 1.7 V for RCA). The specified THD+N level is better than -90 dB at 0 dB.
The device features a robust, anti-resonant chassis - a hallmark of the brand. It measures 450 × 140 × 390 mm and weighs 18 kg. The manufacturer positions the Mountain as an ideal high-end solution for audiophiles seeking detailed, transparent sound without listening fatigue.

Merason has not yet disclosed further details about the new model, such as the specific DAC chip used or the retail price. The Merason Mountain is expected to go on sale soon.
