Magico has introduced a new generation of its A3 floorstanding loudspeaker, scheduled to go on sale in 2027. Although the three-way, four-driver configuration has been retained, the model has effectively been redesigned from the ground up, with engineers revisiting the enclosure, driver complement and crossover network. Technologies originally used in the development of the flagship M9 were employed during the design process, including laser vibrometry and a robotic Near-Field Scanner for analysing cabinet behaviour and dispersion characteristics.

The Magico A3 2027 enclosure features constrained-layer damping, an optimised internal bracing system and a completely revised exterior geometry. The vertical edges are now rounded, the top panel flows smoothly into the side panels, and all visible fasteners have been concealed. The base is fitted with Magico’s proprietary vibration-isolation feet. The aluminium panels are sandblasted and anodised, with black, silver, red and blue finishes available.

High frequencies are handled by a new 28 mm beryllium tweeter with a neodymium magnet system. The midrange is reproduced by a 5-inch driver, while bass is delivered by a pair of 7-inch woofers. Their diaphragms use a multilayer construction with an aluminium honeycomb core and outer carbon-fibre skins. The motor systems incorporate titanium voice coils and copper shorting rings. The crossover is based on a fourth-order Linkwitz-Riley topology with 24 dB-per-octave slopes and incorporates Magico’s proprietary Elliptical Symmetry Crossover technology. Mundorf components are used throughout the network.

The Magico A3 2027 is specified with a frequency response of 25 Hz to 50 kHz, a sensitivity of 87 dB and a nominal impedance of 4 ohms. Magico recommends amplifiers rated between 50 and 300 watts. Each loudspeaker measures 1,095 × 235 × 280 mm and weighs 59.4 kg. Sales are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2027, with a suggested retail price of $25,000 per pair.
