Est. year: 2008

Founded in South Korea in 2008, SOtM (Soul Of the Music) has been at the forefront of PC-Audio, developing innovative technologies and products with one consistent goal: to improve sound quality through thoughtful engineering.

SOtM's early work focused on a challenge that was often overlooked in computer-based audio: the impact of electrical noise and signal quality on audio performance. With the introduction of the tX-USB, one of the world's first high-end audio-grade USB host cards, SOtM brought a new approach to USB audio by applying dedicated noise-filtering circuits, low-noise power regulation, and carefully designed clock circuitry to a PC's USB interface.

SOtM continued to explore ways to reduce noise throughout the computer audio system. Products such as the SATA noise filter demonstrated the company's willingness to look beyond conventional audio components and address potential sources of noise within the PC itself.

Another important step came with the dX-USB series, which introduced a dedicated digital-to-digital conversion approach, allowing USB audio signals from a computer to be converted into digital outputs such as AES/EBU and S/PDIF. At a time when high-quality USB audio connections were far less common in traditional DACs, this provided a practical new way to connect computers to high-end digital audio systems.

These early innovations helped establish SOtM's reputation among PC-Audio enthusiasts as a technically driven brand willing to explore new solutions rather than simply follow established approaches.

Building on this foundation, SOtM expanded its product portfolio to include network music servers and players, DACs, precision clock systems, audio-grade network devices, specialized power supplies, and a wide range of high-performance digital and analog cables. Across these categories, SOtM continues to develop products with a consistent focus on sound quality, system-level optimization, and outstanding performance for the price.

Today, SOtM's identity remains rooted in its pioneering PC-Audio heritage and its ongoing commitment to developing practical, performance-focused audio technologies. From optimizing the digital signal path inside a computer to creating complete network audio systems, SOtM continues to pursue the same objective that inspired its earliest products: making better sound possible through engineering.

SOtM (Soul Of the Music) is a South Korean audio manufacturer specializing in high-performance digital audio products. Our product range includes music servers and streamers, DACs, precision clock systems, audio-grade network devices, power supplies, and other audio components designed to enhance digital audio playback.

Range & what it's known for

The best-known product is the compact sMS-200 network player and its sMS-200ultra version, which adds the in-house sCLK-EX clock board and a master clock input and runs Roon Ready, Squeezelite, DLNA, MPD and HQPlayer NAA. Above it sit the sMS-500 and sMS-2000 music servers on the company's own Eunhasu operating system. The sNH-10G switch has eight LAN ports and two SFP ports and accepts the sCLK-EX and a 10 MHz clock input, while the tX-USBultra and tX-USBhub clean up USB feeds. The sPS-500 supply delivers 50 W at a selectable 7, 9, 12 or 19 V for NAS drives and fanless PCs. SOtM designs its own Class D module for the sPA-1000 instead of buying a ready-made one.

Who owns it and where it's made

SOtM, Inc. is a private Korean company and holds the SOtM and Eunhasu trademarks. Its office, engineering and support are at a single address in Seobuk-gu, Cheonan, and its website has carried a copyright line since 2008. The company publishes and updates the Eunhasu software for its servers and players itself, with alpha builds released to owners before final versions. No parent group or sister brands are listed.

The lineup in this catalog

Network switches and linear power supplies. SOtM boxes cost from about USD 200 each to over USD 2,000.

Who it's for

SOtM is aimed at listeners who stream from a NAS or a computer and want to work on the network and power side of the chain one box at a time. Many systems begin with an sMS-200 player or an iSO-CAT6 Ethernet isolator, add an sPS-500 supply, then move to the sNH-10G switch with an external clock. Owners who want a complete system can finish with the Ultimate series server, rack and amplifier.
