The SOtM tX-USBexp is a PCI Express x1 Gen2 card that adds a USB 3.0 port to a music server PC, with transfer rates up to 5 Gbps. Power comes from an internal 4-pin connector or an external DC supply, and a switch on the card can turn off USB bus power to the DAC.
