The primary winding of the step-up transformer is made of a braided wire with 25 cores isolated from each other by a silk braid. The secondary winding is made of high purity copper wire. The transformer provides a very low input resistance (0.25 ohms/22 ohms) to minimize signal loss of the connected pickup head.
