Improving the quality of the transport used in our SCD-025 Mk.II turned out to be a difficult task. It took a radically new approach to define a new reference standard for CD-ROM transport. We use the same modified Philips CD Pro 2 LF as in the SCD-025 Mk.II, but in the Masterpiece series we went even further, adding even more detailed mechanical and electrical modifications, which allowed us to achieve high drive accuracy.
