Floorstanding loudspeakers — ELAC Vela 2.0 FS408.2

The rounded corners of the housing not only give the ELAC FS 408.2 an elegant appearance, but also eliminate sound distortion caused by acoustic wave diffraction. This speaker has a 2.5-band configuration. It has two low-frequency drivers with a diameter of 180 mm, the diffusers of which are manufactured using the patented AS-XR technology. They have a multilayer structure made of aluminum and paper, due to which their operating range has been expanded – this has had a positive effect on the sound quality of the midrange, as well as provided a smoother response in the transition band between the bass and treble bands.
