While the core electrostatic platform remains the same, the Aperio GoldenSound Signature Edition has received important upgrades. The system is based on Warwick’s latest second-generation BD-HPEL (Balanced Drive High Precision Electrostatic Laminate) drivers. These drivers operate at an unusually high bias voltage of 1,800 volts, more than three times that of most other electrostatic headphones. Warwick Acoustics claims this delivers better reproduction of micro-detail, dynamic control, and a transparent sonic picture of the original recording.
