The USB DAC in the Earmen ST-Amp is implemented on the ES9280 chip from ESS Technology and is capable of processing digital streams in PCM format with parameters up to 32 bits / 384 kHz and DSD up to DSD128. For connecting headphones, there are 6.35 mm jack and 4.4 mm balanced jack connectors on the front panel. The device also has a balanced 4.4 mm input on the back panel.
