Inside, the MHA50 has a 32-bit DAC with data support up to 32/192 and DSD 256/384. The device uses the patented proprietary Headphone Crossfeed Director (HXD) technology, known for McIntosh High-End components.
The device is based on pairs of dual triodes 12AT7 and 12BH7A. The first ones have an input stage, and the second ones work in the output, ensuring a minimum level of distortion. Branded output transformers use Unity Coupled Circuit technology, which guarantees crystal clear sound. Thanks to the use of this technology, the McIntosh MA 200 amplifier successfully copes with headphones of different resistance.
