The McIntosh MC462 uses the proprietary Quad Balanced circuit and Autoformer technology, its output power of 2 x 450 watts is absolutely load tolerant (the indicators do not change on any speakers with a resistance from 2 to 8 ohms). The dynamic range margin has been increased (the filter bandwidth has increased by one and a half times), the signal-to-noise ratio reaches 122 dB.
