The input stage is a fully symmetrical broadband voltage amplifier with a signal rise rate of 300 V/µs and a loopback feedback circuit for error correction. The output stage has 64 MOSFET field—effect transistors with a double substrate - they are custom-made for Chord Electronics and matched in pairs. The servo circuit monitors the absence of a constant component at the output and thermal compensation.
Like all other components of the series, it is enclosed in an impressive metal case, the front panel of which is carved from a solid aluminum billet. The blue-lit window on the top panel allows you to see the entire contents of the amplifier, but you can turn off the backlight by pressing a special key located exactly in the middle of the facade.
