The Boulder 851 monoblock power amplifier relies heavily on the solutions used in the 861 stereo amplifier. The novelty provides a power of 100 watts per channel when operating on a load with a nominal resistance of 8 ohms and 200 watts at 4 ohms, and the peak output when the impedance drops to 2 ohms reaches 350 watts.
