Reference level Opus-1 offers SH-uX core sealed in ultra-hard duralumin housing. Extended frequency range 10 - 50,000 Hz and 1.4 Ohms internal impedance looks very impressive.
The base of the cartridge is made of A7075 aluminum alloy, which provides precise bass and a clean sound stage, while the body is made of A6063 aluminum. The needle holder is boron, a needle with an elliptical "semi-line contact" sharpening is attached to it. The downforce is 2-2.2 g. The terminals are coated with rhodium.
The Air Tight PC-1 Supreme has an amazingly low internal resistance of just 1 ohm. Thanks to the epoch-making SH-uX coil material, Air Tight designers managed to increase the thickness of the conductor and reduce the number of coils by 40%!
