12.09.2025 07:45 | ~4 minutes read

As usual, in the fall - there is a flurry of new audio equipment on the market. Choosing an integrated amplifier, the heart of any audio system, is not very easy in such a situation - your eyes run wide, Therefore, we have compiled for you an expert rating of the most important for the industry and excellent-sounding amplifiers in almost all price categories - meet the editorial hit parade.

Pro-Ject Uni Box S3
Pro-Ject Uni Box S3

8. Pro-Ject Uni Box S3

Pros - a combine with decent sound

The Pro-Ject Uni Box S3 integrated amplifier uses a network streaming platform based on WiiM OS and a built-in Cirrus Logic CS4344 DAC (24 bit / 192 kHz); as a result, with a lot of built-in streaming clients and Bluetooth with support for AAC and SBC codecs, the model seems like a real "Swiss knife" for sound. The power of 40 W per channel at 4 Ohms and 23 at 8 Ohms is not too high – so it is better to use simple acoustics with the component – in this case the sound of the model turns out to be very impressive. The output stages of the Pro-Ject Uni Box S3 use Texas Instrument TPA3221DDV microcircuits.

7. NAD C3050

Pros – HybridDigital UcD amplification works effectively

NAD C3050 develops a power of 2 x 100 W (8 Ohms) – thanks to the latest D-class HybridDigital UcD amplification modules. The digital nature in the sound is almost imperceptible – the device offers a fluid and very fast sound with excellent resolution for its group. Of course, there is a DAC on board based on the proven PCM5242 chip, a Bluetooth module, and it is also possible to expand the functionality by installing a streaming module based on BluOS-D with a lot of built-in streaming clients and a Dirac Live room corrector.

Luxman L550AXII
Luxman L550AXII

4. Luxman L550AXII

Pros - very beautiful sound, excellent scene rendering

Luxman L550AXII will offer only 2 x 20 W (8 Ohm) or 2 x 40 W (4 Ohm), but in pure class A - it is worth fighting for this and choosing the right speakers. In this case, the device will literally amaze you with the beauty of the sound. Among other features of the Japanese amplifier, it is worth noting the discrete volume attenuator LECUA1000 with electronic control Luxman Electric Controlled Ultimate Attenuator - a truly precision device. And, of course, the fourth version of the proprietary ODNF (Only Distortion Negative Feedback) technology, which uses negative feedback to eliminate noise.

Accuphase E-650
Accuphase E-650

3. Accuphase E-650

Pros - a scattering of details, ideal dynamic characteristics

Accuphase E-650 is an integrated amplifier operating in class A and offering power up to 2 x 30 W at 4 Ohms and 2 x 60 W at 8 Ohms (with an increase to 150 W at 1 Ohm). The device literally amazes with the number of details and builds a tangible holographic scene. The volume control of the AAVA type (with a high-rigidity sensor made of a solid aluminum block with a brass shaft) and the amplification stage with bipolar MOS-FET transistors in a dual parallel push-pull configuration, a fantastic damping factor of 800 units for such a system - everything is good here.

Aavik I-288
Aavik I-288

1. Aavik I-288

Pros – phenomenal acoustic control, brilliance and fireworks of details

Aavik I-288 offers the developments of the reference model I-880 for a lower price. The amplifier reaches 2 x 300 W (8 Ohms), 2 x 600 W (4 Ohms), uses the patented UMAC circuitry and the ultra-quiet Resonant Mode power supply, and operates 72 regular and 168 square Tesla coils. Distortion (THD+N) is at a record low level (<0.0028%) across the entire frequency range, and the sound is more reminiscent of a live performance of musicians in front of you.
