The Raidho brand resonates in the souls of most audiophiles with very touching emotions - the Danish company, an advanced developer of High-End acoustics, synthesizes the most modern engineering approach and vibrant sound. The new Raidho speakers no longer look like a rethinking of past models - this is exactly what Raidho TD3.10 is. The bass foundation here is formed by large-sized 10” woofers, and tantalum midrange drivers with a diamond coating may well earn a cult status. But first things first – in the article we will try to reveal in detail all the technical innovations of the model and tell you about its sound.
So, Raidho TD3.10 in the basic version of the finish (Black Piano) will cost 120,000 euros, a more luxurious external version (Burl Walnut Piano) costs 135,000 euros. Even by the standards of modern High-End, the price is high, but believe us, the acoustics have something to surprise even an experienced audiophile. Raidho TD3.10 use a three-way configuration (crossover frequencies - 240 Hz and 2,700 Hz) with the following set of drivers – Raidho Planar-Magnetic Ribbon Tweeter is responsible for high-frequency, 2 x 5.25″ tantalum-diamond drivers - for the midrange, and the bass is handled by the already mentioned 2 × 10″ woofers – also with diamond-coated diaphragms.
The loudspeakers offer a linear (the error will not exceed 3 dB in the entire measurement zone) frequency response from 20 Hz to 50,000 Hz and have a standard sensitivity of 89 dB at 4 Ohm resistance for this type of acoustic systems. Although the manufacturer states the requirements for amplification from 50 to 300 W, it is obvious that the speakers are quite greedy for current – and it is better to install them with a fairly powerful amplification.
The Raidho TD3.10 crossovers are made on a precision audiophile base and use Mundorf capacitors and inductors. All internal wiring in the speakers is made with Nordost Norse cable. The case used is of a rather intricate design - CNC-milled walnut burl veneer, and curved panels for resonance control. Each speaker is 1.2m tall and weighs 120kg – damping is exceptionally good.
The 10″ Raidho TD3.10 bass drivers are based on the proprietary 8″ woofers used in the TD3.8 model. The larger sandwich diaphragms with a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating are the largest in their sector. The cones have the rigidity of titanium at a much lower weight, their ultra-light voice coils are mounted on a titanium frame and wound with very thin litz wire. This approach ensures perfect control over both macro- and microdynamics and a tremendous extension of the bass.
The midrange drivers look like a real work of art - their six-layer sandwich diaphragms (aluminum, ceramics, tantalum and also DLC, a 10-micron layer of 1.5-carat diamond) have a rigidity 50 times greater than traditional ceramics (which until now was considered flawless). The cone is controlled by suspended neodymium magnets N52, a magnetic flux stabilization ring and a titanium voice coil wound with square wire. This "turbine" provides ideal air flow and a very smooth resistance value.
Finally, the company's favorite planar magnetic ribbon emitter with a 10-micron aluminum foil diaphragm with a moving mass of only 18 milligrams is responsible for high frequencies up to 50,000 Hz! Mounted in an aluminum waveguide, it provides wide sound dispersion and ideally fast sound. Together with the MTM layout (midrange speaker-tweeter-midrange speaker), this design also provides much more accurate focusing in the vertical plane and reduces distortion introduced by the room.
If we touch on the design in more detail, we cannot fail to note the acoustics crossovers (and this is not even about inductors with air cores, or metallized polypropylene capacitors) - with a unique filter design. The innovative design combines second- and fourth-order approaches at the two most sensitive points - 240 Hz and 2,700 Hz. This ensures that the stitching of the bands looks absolutely perfect. And the cherry on the cake is the CNC-machined enclosures, the final finishing of which includes eight stages of grinding and sixteen layers of varnish.
Of course, the format of the High End Munich 2025 exhibition does not imply multi-day and multi-hour listening of loudspeakers in familiar conditions (favorite room, familiar system). But those sixty minutes that we spent listening to the Raidho TD3.10 became one of the highlights of the event. The test system, based on Moon components, slightly distanced itself and offered to focus on the acoustics - and the end buyer can already look for options for a much more expensive audio path. Listening, in general, noticeably turned upside down the view of how High-End speakers should sound.
Yes, high detail level, three-dimensional soundstage, excellent control of both macrodynamic bursts and microdynamic nuances, black tone in pauses. Raidho TD3.10 offer all this, in full and clearly go beyond its price group, competing with more "weighty" acoustics of much larger dimensions (including four-block configurations). A pair of 10” woofers in our case work like four 15” – the bass is incredibly dry and precise, and its control seems absolute. The acoustics simply boast of control on any musical material – and it cannot be stumped by the fortissimo of a symphony orchestra on Dvorak’s symphonies, the complex guitar parts of Dire Straits are controlled simply “with one hand”. Crystal clear sound with amazing timbre accuracy creates the effect of a 3D window into another world – you literally forget about what is happening and completely surrender to the emotions of the music.
Scandinavian precision on the bass is also adjacent to the ideal elaboration of vocals, and one of the most difficult tests for any system, the grand piano, on the Raidho TD3.10 sounds exactly like the ideal to which we all strive in endless upgrades. Full-bodied, life-size and exceptionally reliable. It is especially worth noting the combination of surgical precision in the construction of the stage and the holographic pattern of the recording - with a very warm, lively and moving character of the performance. Raidho TD3.10 never fall into sterility - on the contrary, they are seething with emotions, touch the soul and honestly and openly open the soul of music to you. Frankly speaking, we saw a similar effect when switching the vinyl-based system to the version with a reel-to-reel tape recorder and a master tape. Then yes - the jaws of those present in the hall dropped, how is it possible, where did so much new musical information come from on the tape? Raidho TD3.10 achieves a similar effect on any source.
Raidho TD3.10 is a real pearl of the modern High-End firmament. Our hot recommendations.
