Проигрыватели виниловых дисков — Pro-Ject PS00-Frida by Parov Stelar

The PS00-Frida by Parov Stelar is a belt-drive turntable from Pro-Ject, part of a limited collaboration series built on the brand's Essential-tier platform with an Ortofon 2M Red cartridge pre-fitted. Pro-Ject has released numerous artist and franchise collaboration turntables over the years, and this model represents one entry in that broader tradition of limited-edition, cosmetically distinct decks built on established mechanical platforms.

Position in line

It sits alongside the PS01-Wave by Parov Stelar and other artist-collaboration decks in Pro-Ject's limited-edition turntable range, distinguished by finish and branding rather than a different mechanical platform. Buyers should understand that the core turntable mechanics here are shared with Pro-Ject's standard Essential-tier decks, with the collaboration branding and specific cosmetic treatment being the primary reason to choose this edition over a standard model at a similar price.

Key specs that matter

The platter is 300 mm acrylic. Signal-to-noise is 68 dB. At 415 x 118 x 320 mm and 4.9 kg it shares its footprint with other Essential-tier Pro-Ject decks, confirming the shared mechanical lineage across the collaboration series.

Sound and use context

Expect the same settled, functional character as Pro-Ject's other entry belt-drive decks, with the pre-fitted 2M Red cartridge giving a known, moving-magnet starting point - the 2M Red is a well-regarded entry cartridge in its own right, so this collaboration edition should perform comparably to any standard Pro-Ject deck sharing the same cartridge and platform.

Pairing

The pre-fitted 2M Red is moving-magnet, needing standard MM phono gain from the amplifier or a separate phono stage, so integration into a conventional vinyl-capable system should present no particular difficulty.

Alternatives

The PS01-Wave by Parov Stelar shares the same general collaboration series with a different finish; Pro-Ject's standard Debut Carbon EVO covers the same mechanical territory without the collaboration branding, worth considering if the specific Parov Stelar cosmetic treatment does not carry enough personal appeal to justify any price premium. Because Parov Stelar collaboration editions like this one are often produced in limited numbers, checking current availability directly with a Pro-Ject dealer is worthwhile before assuming a specific finish or edition remains readily in stock. Collectors specifically drawn to the artist branding should also confirm whether any additional packaging or certificate of authenticity accompanies this particular release.
