The Denon Home 200 is the smallest of three wireless speakers that renewed the HEOS-based Home range on 24 March 2026, taking over from the Home 150, 250 and 350 generation introduced in 2020. It was priced at USD 399, GBP 299, EUR 349 and AUD 699, and both launch colours, Stone and Charcoal, are shared with the larger Home 400 and Home 600.

Key specs that matter

Three drivers each have their own class D amplifier - two 25 mm tweeters and one 102 mm woofer, arranged so that a single cabinet plays in stereo. Wireless connection uses Wi-Fi on the 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz bands to the 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards, plus Bluetooth and AirPlay 2. A USB-C port reads music from storage or takes an Ethernet adapter for a wired network, and a 3.5 mm socket accepts analogue sources. The upright enclosure measures 140 x 140 x 216 mm and weighs 2.2 kg, and the internal power supply works on 100 to 240 V at 50 or 60 Hz.

Engineering and use context

Unlike the mono Home 150 of the earlier series, the Home 200 separates left and right channels inside one box, and a width control in the app sets how far apart they spread, next to bass and treble adjustment. Dolby Atmos Music tracks from Amazon Music and TIDAL are played through virtual processing, since this model has no upward-firing drivers. The speaker is Roon Ready and plays high-resolution streams, and none of the three new Home models has a phono input, so a turntable needs its own preamplifier. On top are volume and play buttons, three quick-select keys for stored sources and a microphone with its own on and off control, and Siri can be used for voice commands. The HEOS platform lets up to 64 devices share one household system in as many as 32 zones, with Denon AV receivers and the new DP-500BT turntable among the compatible products.

Pairing

Two Home 200 units can be linked as a stereo pair for wider left and right separation, and a HEOS powered subwoofer can be added to the group for extended low end. A pair can also take the rear channels of a Denon Home Sound Bar 550 over the wireless link, so a TV system gains surround playback with no speaker wire run across the floor. Because the USB-C input doubles as the wired network option, an adapter is needed where Wi-Fi is unreliable, and the analogue socket serves a CD player or other line-level source.

Alternatives

The Denon Home 400 is the next model up, with six drivers including two 25 mm up-firing units and a 300 x 150 x 219 mm cabinet.
