The Olympia Dual Mono Amplifier, also listed as the Olympia EVO integrated, is a KT88 valve integrated from the Polish maker Fezz Audio, released in January 2025. It was launched alongside the Olympia EVO mono power amplifier and priced from GBP 5,495, with a European price of EUR 5,490. As the name indicates, left and right are laid out as two independent mono amplifiers inside a single case.

Key specs that matter

Output comes from eight KT88 beam tetrodes, four per channel, while a pair of 12AX7 and a pair of 12AU7 handle voltage gain and driving. Rated power is 2 x 100 W into both 4 and 8 ohm loads. Distortion is given as below 0.1 percent up to 100 W and under 1 percent at full power, and the power bandwidth runs from 16 Hz to 80 kHz. The damping factor is above 30. Input sensitivity is 0.7 V and input impedance 50 kohm. There are three RCA line inputs plus one DIRECT input. It draws 350 W at idle and 700 W at full output, and the enclosure is 420 x 380 x 200 mm and weighs 24 kg.

Engineering and use context

With eight output valves to look after, Fezz fitted automatic bias adjustment, so the KT88s need no manual biasing with a meter, and an electronic protection system with fuses guards against a failing valve. On power-up the amplifier runs a two-minute pre-heating cycle before the output stage is fully engaged, and a standby mode lets it rest without a complete cold start. An equipment card slot allows later expansion, with Bluetooth, a phono stage and a DAC named as planned options. The supplied remote handset controls volume, source selection and power, and a tube cage comes in the box. The companion Olympia EVO mono power amplifier uses four KT88 per chassis in parallel push-pull for over 150 W in a fully balanced circuit, weighs 17 kg per unit and costs from GBP 9,995 a pair, a route for owners who later want separate amplification.

The unchanged power rating into both impedances, together with the high damping factor, means the Olympia is not limited to high-efficiency loudspeakers and can be used with conventional two-way and three-way designs. The DIRECT input suits a home theatre processor handling the front channels, and the input sensitivity matches the output of typical line sources such as CD players, streamers and DACs.
