The Luna EVO is a valve integrated amplifier from Fezz Audio of Poland, introduced in October 2025 with UK availability from November 2025 at GBP 2,495. It follows the Silver Luna in the range and was launched together with the smaller single-ended Luna Mini EVO. Fezz states that it is designed and hand-assembled in Poland.
Key specs that matter
Four EL34 pentodes work in push-pull class AB, driven by three 12AX7 double triodes. A mode switch selects ultra-linear operation, rated at 40 W per channel, or triode connection at 20 W per channel. Fezz quotes total harmonic distortion under 0.05 percent at 1 kHz and full power, a signal-to-noise ratio of 82 dB and a signal bandwidth of 16 Hz to 115 kHz. Inputs are three single-ended RCA pairs plus a DIRECT input intended for a home theatre processor. Left and right subwoofer outputs are provided, and the speaker terminals are split into separate 4 ohm and 8 ohm connectors. The chassis is 354 mm wide, 235 mm high and 420 mm deep, and weighs 20 kg. Seven finishes are listed - Black Ice, Moonlight, Sunlight, Republika, Evergreen, Big Calm and Burning Red.
Engineering and use context
Switching the EL34s between ultra-linear and triode connection halves the rated power in triode mode, so the owner can choose between output headroom and the triode circuit depending on the speakers in use. A tube pre-heating mode brings the valves up to temperature before full operation. A signal ground switch with ON and OFF positions lets the owner break or keep the signal earth connection when a hum loop appears between mains-powered units. A slot is prepared for optional extension boards, so functions can be added after purchase. A tube cage is supplied, and the remote handset covers power, input selection and volume.
Pairing
With its higher ultra-linear rating the Luna EVO suits more speaker types than low-power single-ended amplifiers do, while the triode setting leaves less power in reserve for speakers of lower sensitivity. Owners should connect the speaker cables to the terminal that matches the nominal impedance of their speakers. The paired subwoofer outputs allow one or two powered subs to be added, and any line-level source such as a streamer, CD player or DAC connects to the RCA inputs, with a phono stage needed for turntables.
Alternatives
The Fezz Luna Mini EVO is the smaller single-ended class A model of the same generation, using two EL34 output valves for 10 W per channel.
