The Caspian 4G Integrated Amplifier is a two-channel amplifier from Roksan, the British company owned by Monitor Audio since 2016, and it is hand-built in Rayleigh, Essex. It combines Class AB power stages with an internal DAC, a moving magnet phono stage and aptX Bluetooth. The UK price is GBP 3,000 and the US price USD 6,000. The warranty runs five years, and silver or black casework is on offer.

Output is 105 W per channel into 8 ohms and 200 W per channel into 4 ohms. Analogue inputs comprise a pair of RCA line inputs, a single XLR balanced input and one MM phono input with 47, 53 or 59 dB of selectable gain. Engineering and use context

The amplifier uses Roksan's Euphoria topology in a dual mono Class AB configuration, with separate power supplies for the voltage and current stages. A 600 VA toroidal transformer feeds 36,400 uF of smoothing capacitance per rail, and each channel uses three 2SC5200 n-type and three 2SA1943 p-type output transistors. The Rapture DAC is a proprietary dual mono design built around a differential current-conveyor topology with LVDS and matched transmission lines. The front panel and top plate are cut from 6 mm solid aluminium, and extruded aluminium heatsinks run along the sides. A mono OLED display with backlit icons shows status, and the remote gives menu access to auto power, standby behaviour, balance and input sensitivity. Setup and control are also available through the MaestroUnite app.

The balanced input and the phono stage allow a CD transport, a record deck fitted with a moving magnet cartridge plus one more line source to connect without extra boxes. The subwoofer output and fixed RCA output allow connection of a powered subwoofer or a recorder, and the extra power available into lower loads suits floorstanding speakers with lower impedance.
