Thorens is a cult player in the vinyl market. And, of course, the new Thorens MC 1600 phono preamplifier is in the spotlight – it will go on sale in the summer of 2025 at a price of 2,199 euros.

Clearaudio has unveiled the Clearaudio N1 MM cartridge. The company says the new affordable cartridge is designed to “set a new standard in the class.” The Clearaudio N1 is housed in an anodized aluminum body and weighs 8 grams, making it suitable for both light and heavy tonearms.

Spanish audio manufacturer Wadax has supplemented the universal disc (CD and SACD) player and DAC Wadax Studio Player with the Wadax Studio Clock and external power supply Wadax Studio PSU. According to the manufacturer, Wadax demonstrates the fruits of many years of research and development, embodied in advanced power supply and clock signal generation technologies.

High End acoustics manufacturers have “fallen in love” with subwoofers – and the Swiss manufacturer Stenheim has introduced the active subwoofer Stenheim Alumine Sub. The model can be an excellent partner for expanding the bass of the branded Stenheim Alumine Two and Two.Five loudspeakers, as well as complement the speakers of other companies.

The Danish manufacturer of high-end acoustics, Raidho Acoustics, has introduced the floor-standing Raidho TD3.10 speakers – three-way floor-standing acoustic systems with a bass reflex, replacing the TD3.8 model. The loudspeakers are equipped with two large (10”) low-frequency woofers with diamond-coated diffusers in a pair with a proprietary ribbon tweeter and two midrange drivers of the TD series.

Chord Electronics has announced the release of the Chord Ultima Phonostage phono preamplifier – a top-of-the-line model that promises outstanding performance and will go on sale before the end of 2025.

Ortofon has introduced a new series of MC cartridges – Ortofon MC X10, MC X20, MC X30 and MC X40. The new models are equipped with coils wound with pure silver wire, and they differ in cantilever materials and diamond stylus profiles.

JBL has introduced three new models of loudspeakers in the JBL Summit series - so, the JBL Summit line now includes five models (JBL Everest and K2) and new models JBL Summit Makalu, Summit Pumori and Summit Ama. The Summit series with the addition of JBL Summit Makalu, Summit Pumori and Summit Ama combines design, patented technologies and signature chic sound dynamics.

Raidho Acoustics has introduced the Raidho TD8 SUB and TD10 SUB active subwoofers for the first time in its history. The new products are equipped with bass drivers with Ceramix diamond-coated diffusers, combined with passive radiators and Hypex Ncore ultra-low latency amplification.

Audio-Technica has introduced a new turntable Audio-Technica AT-LPA2, the case and platter of which are made of transparent acrylic. The model is inspired by the successful AT-LP2022 turntable, released for the 60th anniversary of the Japanese brand.

Sales of the infrasonic passive subwoofer Krix Loudspeakers UCX-218 have begun — the most powerful model from the Australian company. The model uses a pair of 18-inch woofers with a long diffuser stroke. The woofers are located in the housing opposite each other, which compensates for mechanical vibrations and provides a clean, neutral bass sound.

British company dCS has announced a digital-to-analog converter with a built-in streamer dCS Lina DAC X. The model is based on the proprietary Ring DAC and Digital Processing Platform; dCS Lina DAC X is capable of decoding audio in PCM format with parameters up to 24 bit / 384 kHz and DSD up to DSD128.

Reed has announced the Reed SF optical pickup head, as well as a special dual-block Reed EQ phono preamplifier with an external Reed PS power supply. Reed SF is an optical cartridge, its stylus (a Shibata-tipped diamond on a sapphire cantilever, with a recommended pressure of 1.5 to 2.0 grams) reads information from a vinyl record track, but the needle's movements are tracked by a laser-based optical system.

DS Audio has introduced the DS Audio Mono optical cartridges, designed specifically for playing monophonic records and featuring a special suspension system that responds only to horizontal needle movements (in stereo, where sound waves are encoded in both horizontal and vertical vibrations on vinyl, monophonic records use only horizontal movements to transmit the audio signal).

Sphinx was quite a famous name in audiophile circles at the end of the 20th century – and now we are expecting the company’s return to the market (with the support of International Audio Holding, which also owns the Siltech, Crystal Cable and HMS Elektronik brands).

The Danish company Gryphon Audio is releasing the fifth generation of the iconic Antileon power amplifier – Antileon Revelation. The announcement was prepared for two anniversaries of the company - the 30th anniversary of the Antileon amplifier line and the 40th anniversary of the Gryphon company itself.

According to news, Masimo Corporation, the owner of the audiophile brands B&W (Bowers & Wilkins), Denon and Marantz, has signed an agreement to sell these brands to Harman International - the deal is currently in the process of receiving regulatory approvals.
