The speaker is the Davis Acoustics Ariane 7, a three-way design built for rooms of 30 to 50 square metres, paired here with a full Audio Analogue chain - the Puccini Anniversary integrated amplifier, the AADrive CD transport and the AADAC digital-to-analogue converter.

The amplifier's four selectable volume-response curves, tuned to different speaker sensitivities, let it be matched precisely to the Ariane 7 instead of using a generic setting. Upstream, the AADrive transport, built around a modified Teac mechanism with a solid-aluminium clamp, and the AADAC, using an ESS Sabre ES9038 chip with native DSD512 support, keep the digital side to the same standard as the amplification.
