NAD has expanded its Classic series with the new C 359S integrated amplifier, combining traditional Class AB circuitry with modern network music streaming capabilities. After several years of actively developing Class D amplification, the manufacturer has returned to a more conventional architecture, enhancing it with the latest technological solutions. In particular, the amplifier features redesigned amplification stages and a low-noise switching power supply designed to ensure stable performance under various loads. The NAD C 359S delivers 70 watts per channel into 8 ohms, increasing to 120 watts into 4 ohms.

The developers have paid particular attention to connectivity and the amplifier's integration into modern home audio systems. The built-in BluOS platform provides access to music streaming services, network music libraries, and multiroom playback functionality. Wireless audio transmission is supported via Bluetooth with aptX HD, while the HDMI eARC interface allows the amplifier to be connected directly to a compatible TV. Wired connectivity options include analog and optical digital inputs, a built-in phono stage for turntables, a headphone output, and a preamplifier output for connecting an active subwoofer. Ethernet connectivity further expands networking capabilities and enables integration with home automation systems.

The NAD C 359S integrated amplifier retains the recognizable minimalist design of the Classic series, featuring a clean front panel, large rotary controls, and traditional operating elements. An infrared remote control is included in the package. Despite its extensive feature set, the amplifier maintains relatively compact dimensions of 435 × 100 × 400 mm and weighs 8.9 kg. The C 359S is designed for both enthusiasts of traditional two-channel Hi-Fi systems and users looking for a central hub for music and TV audio, with the flexibility to build a 2.1-channel setup. The recommended retail price of the NAD C 359S integrated amplifier is $1,299 in the United States or €1,199 in Europe.
