Swiss high-end audio manufacturer Goldmund has expanded its product lineup with the new flagship Mimesis Statement preamplifier, designed for uncompromising Ultra High End stereo systems. The model's defining feature is its unusual architecture, which separates the audio circuitry and power supplies into three independent chassis. The central unit houses the analog audio circuitry, while the two additional components provide dedicated power supplies for the left and right channels. According to the manufacturer, this configuration minimizes interference between circuits, reduces electrical noise, and ensures exceptionally stable operating conditions for the electronics. The fully symmetrical circuit design is complemented by Goldmund's proprietary discrete voltage regulation system, featuring multiple regulation stages for effective noise suppression.

In developing the Goldmund Mimesis Statement, the company's engineers extensively redesigned the preamplifier's internal architecture. A completely new audio circuit board was created specifically for the model, alongside an improved volume control system and an optimized component layout. Particular attention was paid to internal connections, protecting sensitive circuits from electromagnetic interference, and ensuring efficient heat dissipation. According to the developers, these engineering solutions are intended to deliver the highest possible signal transparency without noticeably altering the original characteristics of the recording. The specified frequency response extends from 0.2 Hz to 1.5 MHz at ±3 dB. Total harmonic distortion plus noise (THD+N) is rated at just 0.0002% with unbalanced connections, while intermodulation distortion plus noise (IMD+N) does not exceed 0.0006%. The signal-to-noise ratio exceeds 130 dB and reaches 138 dB with A-weighting.

The Goldmund Mimesis Statement offers extensive connectivity options designed to accommodate numerous components in a sophisticated high-end audio system. The rear panel features four unbalanced RCA inputs and three balanced XLR inputs, with alternative RCA connections available for the latter. The output section includes three sets of XLR and RCA connectors for connecting power amplifiers, along with dedicated Tape outputs for recording equipment. Two additional 12V trigger outputs allow compatible power amplifiers to be switched on and off simultaneously. This comprehensive selection of connections makes the new preamplifier suitable for complex audio installations incorporating multiple sources and power amplifiers.

The Goldmund Mimesis Statement follows the Swiss manufacturer's established design philosophy, combining clean geometric lines, substantial metal enclosures, and understated decorative details. The central unit's front panel features a display behind mirrored glass and specially coated metal controls. All three chassis are visually unified by a distinctive recessed gold-colored line that emphasizes their integration into a single system. The preamplifier's appearance also echoes the design of the flagship Goldmund Telos 9800 power amplifier, with which it can form a visually cohesive high-end audio system. The Goldmund Mimesis Statement carries a recommended retail price of $240,000, making it one of the most expensive preamplifiers in the manufacturer's lineup.
