Lampizator is a Polish maker of tube DACs and amplification, founded in March 2010 by Lukasz Fikus near Warsaw. Fikus studied electronic engineering at Warsaw University of Technology, spent nineteen years at a multinational engineering firm and ran its Polish branch before resigning to start the company. Its vacuum-tube digital converters first earned the brand international attention, and the business has since grown into a workshop with a larger site and added staff.
Range & what it's known for
DACs remain the core. The range climbs from the Amber and the Baltic and Atlantic TRP through the Golden Gate, Poseidon and Pacific to the Horizon at the top. From the start Fikus paired direct-heated triode output stages with integrated-circuit conversion. The Golden Gate arrived in 2015 as a DSD-only successor to the Level 7 platform, the Pacific followed in 2018 as a higher tier, and the Horizon grew from a side project of the pandemic years into a 2023 flagship above the Pacific. Around the converters sit the Amber Amp/DAC, the Poseidon preamplifier, the VP4 phono stage and the Kraftwerk 10 power distributor. Buyers can choose tube complements, capacitor upgrades and custom finishes.
Who owns it and where it's made
Lampizator is a privately held, founder-led company with Lukasz Fikus as its designer. Every unit is designed and handcrafted in Warsaw, and the move to the current, much larger premises came shortly before the Pacific launch, when the firm outgrew its original headquarters.
The lineup in this catalog
The catalog lists Lampizator DACs. The Amber, at the bottom, costs around USD 3,000, while a Horizon at the top is well over USD 50,000.
Who it's for
Lampizator is aimed at listeners who want a tube output stage built into their digital source and value the option to tailor tubes and parts. Newcomers often begin with the Amber or Baltic, with the Pacific and Horizon as later steps, and the matching Poseidon preamp or VP4 phono stage lets a system grow around the same Warsaw workshop.
