Est. year: 1967
HiFi Rose is a South Korean audio brand launched in 2017 as a division of Citech, an industrial electronics company founded in 1967 that built public touchscreen kiosks. Based in Seoul, it makes network streamers, streaming DACs and integrated amplifiers distinguished by large built-in touchscreens. The project was started by a Citech executive who is a classical music lover, and around 70 percent of the HiFi Rose team are engineers.
Range & what it's known for
The RS line holds the network products. The RS150B is a streaming DAC, the RS250A is a network streamer, and the RS520 combines a streamer with an integrated amplifier rated at 200 watts per channel, in effect folding the RS150 streamer and the RA180 amplifier into one chassis. The RA line holds integrated amplifiers such as the RA180 and RA280. The defining trait is the screen, with displays between 6 and 14.9 inches across models, which turns each unit into its own control surface for browsing and playback. Amplification uses an in-house GaN FET Class D design, DAC stages are based on ESS Sabre chips handling up to DSD512 and 32-bit/768 kHz PCM, and upper models add 4K HDMI video output.
Who owns it and where it's made
HiFi Rose belongs to Citech Company, Ltd., a Korean firm with more than five decades in industrial electronics. That background in touchscreen hardware explains the brand's interface-first approach, since the parent already designed displays and embedded systems for public kiosks. Products are designed and assembled in Seoul by the HiFi Rose team rather than outsourced.
The lineup in this catalog
The catalog lists HiFi Rose network players and integrated amplifiers, spanning roughly USD 1,000 to more than USD 5,000.
Who it's for
HiFi Rose suits buyers who prefer to stream, decode and browse music on hardware that works without a phone or tablet. The RS250A is the entry to the network range for those who already own an amplifier, the RS150B adds a higher-grade DAC for a separates system, and the RS520 is the single-box choice when only speakers are missing. The RA180 and RA280 serve buyers who prefer to keep the streamer and amplifier as separate components.
