Monophonic POWER amplifier No. 536 contains 12 discrete bipolar output transistors TO-264 15 A, 260 V, 200 W per output stage (24 in total); and 12 discrete bipolar transistors TO-220 230 V, 70 MHz per output stage (one for each output transistor, 24 in total). Its power supply contains eight discrete high-speed Schottky rectifier diodes TO-220 40 A, 250 V per output stage (16 in total) and 18 filter capacitors per output stage (36 in total), which eventually gives a capacity of 169,200 UF.
The ML-50 amplifiers operate in Class A and are capable of delivering 20 watts at a resistance of 8 ohms. The rated power in class AB is 425 watts.
The Mark Levinson No.631 amplifier is made in a vertical housing with a height of just under 53 cm. Like the other components in the series, its body is made of anodized black aluminum. There is a glass central element with red backlight on the sides on the front panel, and a glass Core element with red accent lighting on the upper wall.
