The driver faces forward, while the enclosure is vented through a port that fires downward into the floor, so the opening points at the floor beneath the cabinet rather than into the room. According to Fyne Audio, the cone blends several fibres to form a light, stiff piston, carried on a rubber roll surround with a deep voice coil assembly that allows long excursion and high power handling. A DSP engine manages dynamic range automatically and protects the driver against overload. The Bass Boost switch engages the full DSP capacity and lifts output by 3 dB across 40 Hz to 70 Hz, the range Fyne Audio ties to movie LFE effects. The stereo inputs pass through an 80 Hz second-order low-pass filter, with separate provision for the LFE feed. Power can be left on permanently or set to auto-sense, and the unit mutes itself after roughly 10 minutes without signal. A 12 V trigger input allows switching together with the rest of a system. Pairing

Two phono sockets accept left and right line signals from a stereo preamplifier or an amplifier with pre-outs, while a mono LFE socket takes the sub pre-out from an AV receiver or processor. A phase control helps match the arrival of bass with the main speakers. For a receiver with a trigger output, this link wakes the sub along with the receiver.
