The X2t 25th Anniversary Edition is a limited 2.5-way bass-reflex floorstanding loudspeaker from Raidho Acoustics, announced on 10 October 2025 to mark 25 years since the Danish company was founded in 2000. Production is limited to 100 pairs worldwide, each with a numbered serial plate and a certificate. It is based on the standard X2 and X2t, of which about 500 pairs had been sold. Prices are EUR 21,000 per pair in Walnut Burl and EUR 23,000 in Emerald Green Burl or Midnight Blue Burl, all in hand-applied high-gloss piano lacquer.
Key specs that matter
The tweeter is Raidho's own planar-magnetic ribbon, with an 11 µm aluminium foil diaphragm, a moving mass of 20 mg and a breakup frequency above 82 kHz. Two 5.25 inch Ceramix woofers with sandwich cones of aluminium, ceramic and tantalum cover the bass and midrange. Frequency response is 40 Hz to 50 kHz ±3 dB, sensitivity is 87 dB and nominal impedance is 4 ohm. Raidho recommends amplifiers of 50 to 300 W. Each speaker measures 300 x 1,065 x 490 mm including its feet and weighs 23 kg.
Engineering and use context
In a 2.5-way layout both woofers share the bass, while only one continues up into the midrange to meet the tweeter, so the lower range gains cone area without adding a separate midrange driver. The ribbon tweeter's diaphragm is an extremely thin aluminium foil driven directly across its surface by the magnetic field, and its moving mass is a fraction of that of a typical dome. With breakup this high, the first diaphragm resonance lies far outside the audible range. The Ceramix cones combine aluminium, ceramic and tantalum layers to raise stiffness and damp resonance. For the anniversary edition, Raidho upgraded the crossover, which is hand-wired point to point with Mundorf components instead of mounted on a circuit board. Internal wiring is Nordost Norse cable, and the binding posts come from Furutech. The three finishes are applied by hand as multi-layer piano lacquer, and every speaker carries a serial plate identifying its number within the run of 100 pairs.
Pairing
The moderate sensitivity and low nominal impedance ask for a current-capable amplifier inside Raidho's recommended power range. The narrow cabinet fits a room of about 20 m2, while a Raidho TD subwoofer can extend the bass range.
Alternatives
The Raidho X2t is the standard version of the same 2.5-way floorstander without the anniversary upgrades.
