Напольная акустика — Polk Audio Legend L800 - Left

The Legend L800 is a large floorstanding loudspeaker from Polk Audio's flagship Legend range, built with a substantial cabinet for a full-scale two-channel system. Polk Audio's Legend range represents the brand's most serious engineering effort, sitting above its more accessible Signature Elite and Monitor ranges in both price and ambition.

Position in line

It sits above the Legend L600 in Polk Audio's Legend hierarchy, near the Signature Elite ES55 in the brand's broader positioning. As the flagship within Polk Audio's current Legend range, the L800 likely represents the fullest expression of the brand's most advanced driver and cabinet technology.

Key specs that matter

Sound and use context

Expect a full-range, high-headroom presentation consistent with the flagship positioning within Polk Audio's range - a serious statement from a brand more commonly associated with accessible, mainstream loudspeakers.

Pairing

The 87 dB sensitivity and 4 ohm load call for a reasonably capable amplifier with genuine current delivery, worth confirming against whatever amplifier is already owned or planned before committing to this substantial tower.

Alternatives

The Legend L600 sits below this model in Polk Audio's Legend range for a smaller room or more modest budget, worth considering if this model's considerable flagship-tier scale and price exceed what a specific room and budget require. Polk Audio extensive dealer network across North America and beyond makes arranging a direct comparison against the smaller Legend L600 practical for most buyers considering this flagship tower. The substantial 53.5 kg weight per cabinet also means delivery and placement logistics deserve careful advance planning before this speaker arrives. A rigid, well-positioned base also helps this tower deliver its full potential in a given room. Toe-in adjustment at the listening seat remains a free, worthwhile tweak once placement is finalised. A subwoofer should rarely be needed given this tower already substantial bass reach.
