The Concert Legacy 9 is the compact floorstanding model of the Jamo Concert Legacy series, first shown at the Vienna High End show of June 2026 and due on sale from August 2026. Jamo, a Danish loudspeaker maker dating from the late 1960s, was sold in 2024, and the Legacy range revisits the Concert line it introduced in the mid-1990s. The speakers are built in Denmark, and in Europe a pair costs EUR 5,499.

Key specs that matter

This passive tower is a three-way vented design with four drivers. Two 165 mm Scan-Speak bass units use cones of wood fibre, the 165 mm SEAS mid driver has an aluminium-magnesium diaphragm with a copper-accented phase plug, and a 25 mm Scan-Speak tweeter reproduces the treble. Crossovers are set at 250 Hz and 3 kHz. Rated response runs from 33 Hz to 21 kHz within 3 dB, extending to 27 Hz at minus 6 dB. Sensitivity is 92 dB measured with 2.83 V at 1 m, and nominal impedance is 4 ohm. With feet fitted the cabinet stands 1007 mm tall, 308 mm wide and 481 mm deep, and it weighs 36 kg.

Engineering and use context

The DualCore enclosure from Jamo divides the cabinet into two chambers. The midrange and tweeter operate in a sealed compartment, and a layer of 75 Shore A rubber isolates it from the bass chamber so that woofer pressure does not reach the upper drivers. The two woofers occupy a bottom-mounted section and vent through a down-firing port, a solution the maker links to easier placement. An aluminium plinth tipped forward by four degrees raises the enclosure and provides the opening this underside port requires. The cabinet wears oak wood veneer, and the front is two-tone, matte black above and high gloss black below. Three finishes are offered - Onyx, Heritage and Northern Frost - and bi-wiring terminals are provided on the rear. Alongside the Legacy models, Jamo introduced a separate Concert Element range developed with a Copenhagen design agency.

Pairing

Jamo specifies a partnering amplifier of 40 W to 200 W. As the nominal load is low, the amplifier needs a matching specification from its manufacturer. Twin sets of speaker cable can be used thanks to the bi-wire panel. The same tweeter and midrange drivers appear in the Concert Legacy 8 standmount, and the launch also includes the Concert Element SW10, a sealed subwoofer with a 250 mm long-throw driver and a 150 W class D amplifier.

Alternatives

The Jamo Concert Legacy 11 is the larger floorstander in the line, adding a third woofer in a 1207 mm tall cabinet rated at 94 dB.
