Letshuoer's DX1 uses one dynamic transducer per side and comes from the Dongguan earphone company founded in 2016. It was released in June 2025 at USD 159, with a European list price of EUR 159, and sits in a catalogue that also covers all balanced armature, hybrid and planar magnetic designs. Each earpiece is built around one custom driver with no crossover, and the buyer chooses a 3.5 mm or a 4.4 mm terminated lead when ordering.
Key specs that matter
The transducer measures 11 mm and was developed in-house. Its diaphragm is an aluminium-magnesium alloy coated with nanoparticles and carries a diamond-pattern topology across its surface. The quoted range runs from 20 Hz to 40 kHz, impedance is 30 ohm and sensitivity is 108 dB at 1 kHz. The earpieces take the common 0.78 mm two-pin plug, set in a separate rectangular block on the shell.
Engineering and use context
A fixed acoustic filter is tuned to cut a narrow band around 5 kHz, which Letshuoer describes as a notch intended to lower distortion in that region. The internal parts are CNC machined and the driver is held by a coaxial fixture, so it stays centred in the housing. The housing itself is entirely stainless steel with an electroplated, mirror-polished surface. Its faceplate imitates a bolt head, with a brushed silver centre inside a champagne-coloured ring. The profile is small and rounded, close to a teardrop, and does not press against the outer ear or the antihelix, which leaves room for side sleeping. The flip side of the compact size is less passive isolation than larger shells give. Three vents relieve pressure - two near the connector base and one beside the nozzle. The straight-bore nozzle is covered by a metal mesh and has a shallow lip that holds the tips. The lead uses 256 strands of silver-plated monocrystalline copper wound in Litz fashion, is braided and shielded, wears a white cloth-like jacket and joins at a stainless steel splitter.
Pairing
A phone dongle or compact player can drive the DX1 to ordinary listening levels without extra gain, given this easy load. The single-ended version plugs into ordinary headphone jacks, while the balanced version connects to the balanced sockets of newer players and DAC amplifiers. The plug is fixed, not modular, so the choice is made once. Nine pairs of silicone tips come in three styles - a brown wide bore and a black balanced type with long stems, and a white wide bore with short stems - together with a round case that has a silicone lid on a silver metal base.
Alternatives
The Letshuoer Mystic 8 is an in-ear monitor from the same maker that uses eight balanced armatures in a titanium shell instead of one dynamic driver.
