Наушники — Moondrop BLOCK

The BLOCK, model number MD-TWS-030, is a true wireless set from Moondrop built in the flat-head earbud style, so each bud rests in the outer ear rather than sealing inside the canal. Moondrop released it on 9 August 2024 at a price of USD 19.99, which makes it one of the least expensive products in the company's wireless range. Colour choices are pink, white and black.

Key specs that matter

The acoustic engine is a 13 mm dynamic driver with a bio-composite dome on a flexible suspension, driven by an N52 neodymium magnet and a voice coil of copper-clad aluminium wire. Bluetooth 5.4 handles the link with the SBC and AAC codecs and support for A2DP, AVRCP, HFP and HSP, while the working distance is given as 10 m in an open space without obstacles. The battery in each bud is rated at 3.7 V and 37 mAh, good for about 6 hours of playback, while the 300 mAh case adds roughly 15 hours more. A bud refills in about 1 hour and the case in about 1.5 hours through its USB-C port.

Engineering and use context

Moondrop tuned the BLOCK on a B&K 5128 head and torso simulator against its own VDSF target curve, and the system-on-chip applies DSP correction inside each bud to shape the output of the flat-head acoustic structure. The shape sits at the entrance of the ear instead of plugging the canal, a layout Moondrop calls semi-in-ear. For calls, a dual-microphone array works with a beamforming environmental noise cancellation algorithm that suppresses background noise picked up by the mics. A low latency game mode cuts the delay to 55 ms for video and gaming. Mirrored TWS operation lets either bud work alone in mono or both together in stereo, so one side can charge while the other stays in use.

Pairing

The BLOCK connects to phones, tablets and computers over Bluetooth, and the codec list stops at AAC and SBC, with no LDAC or aptX option, so a source that offers AAC gets the better of the two links. There is no companion app for the model, and the touch controls cannot be remapped, so every function follows the gestures assigned at the factory. With a combined runtime of about 21 hours from buds and case, the set suits daily commuting with a recharge every few days, and the USB-C socket on the case takes the same cable as current phones.

Alternatives

Within the same true wireless catalogue, Moondrop also offers the SPACE TRAVEL 2 as a second pair of true wireless earphones.
